The Marburg Collective is a home-grown, communally driven record label, event-planning and media arts production center. Its infrastructural organization is fabricated by the carefully creative and craftful efforts of an interchanging core of artists, artisans and musicians.
This organization evolved from our residence at The Marburg Hotel, a four-story apartment building in Clifton, Cincinnati, from 2008-2011. The Hotel, as a functional living space, DIY recording studio and concert venue, allowed for a wealth of local music audio productions, live house concerts, basement shows and 21 consecutive monthly open mic nights.
Currently, the collective is responsible for the representation of several active and inactive local music projects, the design and realization of quality aesthetic events, the arrangement and production of archival recordings, retrieved from the last few years of creative activity within the Marburg sphere.
